In this session, I'll focus on the power of bounded instructional activities in math classrooms. Tasks, like Number Talks, Which One Does Not Belong, Math Mistakes, and Data Talks provide clear routines and time limits, creating environments where students can actively engage in math discussions and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. By regularly incorporating these activities, we'll explore how they can promote higher-level thinking skills, enhance mathematical comprehension, and cultivate a growth mindset among all students through consistent practice with mathematical language routines. Participants will have the opportunity to explore resources and share one they hope to try in practice.
