This workshop is intended for teachers that engage students with disabilities in either a General Education science setting or a Fundamentals setting. Teachers will get a crash course on Transborder DisCrit, followed by the usage of this framework in a science setting. Participants will be given copies of 2 lesson plans that they can use or modify at their discretion. One lesson will be on Biomes and the other lesson will be on Climate Change. Teacher-Participants will enhance their pedagogical understanding of the Universal Design for Learning through a cultural lens that engages students material reality.
