This presentation will provide teachers with an increased understanding of students with hidden disabilities in the general education setting. Participants will have the opportunity to step into the experience of a learning disabled student in an academic environment by participating in a simulation and crafting a purposeful disability disclosure. Teachers will leave with a deeper sense of empathy for students with disabilities as well as strategies that support access, advocacy, and increased success for students with hidden disabilities.
