This session is for History teachers who want to offer students structured direction on what to do when confronting primary and secondary source documents. These 6 Steps of Annotation lead students with the foundational information to create their Informative/Argumentative essays. The lesson presented will be on Expansion Westward. This will add to teacher pedagogy in that it will provide a systematic practice of annotations, easy for students to follow, that balances content and literacy skills.
