This session will be beneficial for World language teachers who are looking for strategies to help them and their students stay in the target language 90%+ of time. Staying in the TL 90%+ of the time can be challenging for some teachers, especially when teaching beginners/intermediate levels. In this session, I will share some of the strategies that have worked for me, and I will have teachers practice some of these strategies in small groups. Teachers will be active participants in role play while I will facilitate and provide prompts and material . It is possible to have a full language immersion learning experience in the classroom with proper communicative strategies. I believe teacher will leave the session with some practical startegies to help them AND their students stay in the TL during instructon time.
