In the past two years, there has been a boom in students using Large Language Models (commonly referred to as AI) such as Chat GPT to complete writing assignments. This has left educators struggling to meet student needs while upholding academic standards and fostering a culture of honesty and accountability. This session will equip educators with several different strategies to identify instances of AI plagiarism in their classrooms. We will also review prevention strategies appropriate to varied grades, subjects, and ability levels, as well as how to react when students have used AI to plagiarize their classwork.
